• BIG MAGIC costs range depending on the date, location, performance hours, and scope of your event. We encourage you to contact us for our pricing, policies, and terms of service.

  • The process of selecting what songs we play at each event aims to reach a middle ground between BIG MAGIC and our clients. We place great importance on your preferences, and we urge you to trust our ability to choose songs that will make your party exceptional.

Several months in advance of your event, we will send you a song-list form where you will select all the songs that you most enjoy. The more songs you select, the better the overall experience will be. We will include at least 20 songs from your listed preferences, and we will build the rest of the setlist at our discretion, taking your general musical preferences as a cue for what (and what not) to play.

For wedding clients, included in the standard package are up to two special song requests. We must receive these requests at least two months in advance. These songs can be included in either your special dances or within the dinner/dance sets.

If you would like to request more than two special songs, they can either be purchased as add-ons for the band to learn or played from a laptop/device.

Please note that we are not able to work with pre-determined setlists.

  • We love playing outside; in order to do so, we require a three-sided waterproof tent, with the option to draw sidewall flaps in the event of excessively inclement weather. We also require a minimum 12’ x 24’ raised stage or flooring, as the band cannot set up on exposed grass/earth.

Power is also a critical piece of an outdoor event, and we require a reliable power source of TWO dedicated 20-amp circuits, supplying a consistent 120 volts with a minimum of FOUR grounded 3-pronged outlets at the performance area.

To keep out of the way of your guests, we also ask for a small “green room” area for the artists in BIG MAGIC. This can come in many different shapes and sizes, and we’ll work with you to find a suitable arrangement.

  • It's generally expected to offer vendor meals to your band. These hot meals can be provided by your venue or caterer at a lower cost than meals for your guests. A properly nourished musician is better than a starving artist!

  • After we’ve discussed if BIG MAGIC is the right fit for your event, we’ll send over our service agreement for you to review, sign, and submit a 50% deposit. At this time, we ask that payment come in the form of a check.

Once your signed agreement and deposit are received, we’ll work with you, your planner, and your venue to ensure that your event is expertly executed. It’s our mission to cultivate strong relationships with our clients, so if you have any questions or concerns throughout this process, we’re here to help in a timely manner. And if we don’t have an immediate answer, we’ll work with you to find one!

Final payment will be required 30 days prior to the date of service, except for in cases where the event falls within those 30 days, in which case a full 100% payment shall be required at the time of the executed service agreement.

  • Our sound engineer and up to three assistants will need to arrive at least four hours prior to your reception. The musicians will arrive one hour prior to their performance time.
